Patricia Shafer has provided consulting and coaching services to executives and managers in more than 15 countries. Her international experience includes leadership positions at two Fortune 100 global companies. At one of them, she was involved in strategic and operational change initiatives spanning the $16 billion North America division, as well as an $11 billion European portfolio. Patricia’s global focus emerged early in her career when she provided crisis management and communications services to one of the world’s largest consumer products companies, a major global energy company, and multinational public officials served through a year-long program under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State. She also provided marketing services to international companies selling products and services in the Middle East and North Africa. With principals Mick Yates and Martin Thomas, Patricia formed growing-global.com, while serving as president of Compel Organizational Excellence Alliance, Ltd., a firm dedicated to Evoking Courageous LeadershipSM. Compel Ltd. associates and alliance members are experts at guiding organizations through significant change and transformation, including those requiring a shift into uncharted business initiatives. Patricia holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management, one of the world’s top-ranked business schools. She also holds an MSc. in Consulting and Coaching for Change (CCC), a joint-venture programme of Oxford University and Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), Paris. Her co-authored five-continent research project: “The World at Work: Men and Women Managers Tell Us What’s Changed and What Still Needs to Change in Organizations,” was one of the most highly-rated dissertations in her CCC programme and is being used with organizations as they consider global leadership traits required in the 21st century. Patricia is a founding member of The Change Leaders, an international community of practice dedicated to the human side of change. She is an advisor to the Business Innovation & Growth Council, an association supporting high-growth, high-impact entrepreneurs. And she is a Board Member of the New Generation Media Initiative for Africa (NGMIA). |
